Two-day-long Christmas WAMP - 15-16th of December 2007 (Saturday-Sunday) from 10 am until 6 pm in Gödör Klub, Aquarium Hall

Last WAMP of this year before Christmas appears in its usual venue of the fair.

The final and 12th WAMP of the year makes her appearance in the spirit of Christmas. There will be more artists and exhibitors as usual, children’s corner and tons of works of art which are waiting to be given as presents for Christmas.

Less than ten days before Christmas it is a great opportunity to put a tick next to the names on our presentlist - should you look for a table lamp made of recycled objects (of a cheese grater for example) (theFizzer), silver jewels combined with unusual materials (Eszter Máté), the unbeatable and colourful play games made of sheet-iron (Szupernova) or unique, painted greeting cards (Anikó Róth).

As a changing room you can use the work of Nóra Vidó architect of KÉK (Centre for Contemporary Architecture) designed exclusively for WAMP which is an object made of the pieces of an old shopping centre of Budapest (Skála). The changing “box” was first presented at WAMP in November after Vienna and this time it will be offered to the use of WAMP-visitors.

As a remedy for the Christmas-craziness, DJ Elliot is playing anti-stress music who usually sells clocks made of bakelite discs at WAMP. And naturally we cannot do without the children’s corner.

Philips Fashion Island offers free stylist and make up services this Sunday.  It is also possible to try the new Philips irons with new deepsteaming functions. If you buy a WAMP T-shirt on the venue we will iron you some Swarovski crystals of your choice.   

This will be the last WAMP for this year. Merry WAMPing to everyone, designful holidays, Happy New Year and see you in 2008! In January there will be no WAMP but we open the year with a three-day-long Dutch-Hungarian Design Festival from the 22nd to the 24th of February in Gödör Klub.

News about our international presentation of WAMP: on the 1st of December we took part in the opening of the Collegium Hungaricum, the Hungarian House of Berlin as  Ungarischer Akzent  invited us to its final event where we were honoured to install a design room. In the design-shop we presented the bags of 10 WAMP-designers and we also left a message wall. You can read more on our re-wamped website!
