Our topic: Architecture and object

The key word of our WAMP fair on 11th November 2007 is architecture. Apart from the usual 100 designers selling their unique products, WAMP will organize lectures and a small exhibition.

In November architecture will infiltrate into the world of objects of the fair,  you can also visit a small exhibition. In the exhibition the works of young architects will be shown, which represent different approaches of architectural design, from the conservative to the emergent via progressive streams. Our exhibitors are: Anna Szőnyi, Ágota Demeter, Borbála Mester, Ferenc Szakál, Áron Vass-Eysen and Johanna Muszbek.

In the afternoon you are welcome to join our lectures and talks. The moderator will be József Martinkó editor-in-chief of hg.hu.

The title of the lecture from 3 pm is Mediafacade in Budapest: the Design Hotel. Our invited lecturers are Judit Z. Halmágyi and Krisztián Kellner architects.

From 4 pm Gábor Turányi gives a lecture entitled “The object of teaching…”. You will attend a richly presented lecture on the connection between the design of objects and buildings. There will also be a presentation on two projects of the MOME University.

You can also see and try the work of Nóra Vidó (architect of KÉK, Centre for Contemporary Architecture) which is a changing room installed from the metal pieces of Skála. This work of art was already observed in Blickfang Design Fair in Vienna.
