Designer jewellers for extravagant, for nice, for bohemians – for everyone! You can find a mixture of old form, retro style and different materials in her works. She employs strong contrasts such as red flower in green grass, or black necklace with vibrant, red heart, and intends her work for the modern woman.

Every month since 2009, WAMP has been introducing designers who elevate the fair hype to share more about a designer than just his or her products. A grass ring, snail ring, slide-framed, and heart-shaped necklace Gyöngyvér Gaál jewelry designer shows a little twist in all her designs. This designer of the month, September edition, was one of the very first people to attend WAMP and she has been back periodically ever since. Just recently the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts purchased items from Gyöngyvér to display in their permanent contemporary collection.

WAMP designers are busy this August as beside the regular design fair on Erzsebet square 18 WAMP designers and collectives will exhibit their latest projects in futuristic visions in the fields of jewellery, fashion design, textile, graphic design, interior and product design on the Helsinki Design Week. WAMP has chosen to present design concepts that reflect the way Hungarian designers think about tomorrow, today. Time Drops of WAMP will be presented from 27th of August till 6th of October.

Now first mini WAMP at Sziget Festival!!! Come and visit the Hungarian designers while you are having a party! If then your ear got clogged up from the bass and you would fancy wearing other clothes than your military trousers, come and relax on the design fair after the Saturday night’s SZIGET Festival party or before the last get together on Sunday. A good reason for visiting is to look at the exciting stand of the designer of August, Sándor Lakatos. The pieces of his menswear collection could easily be worn by the Muse performing right after the WAMP fair on Sunday.

Starting from 2009 WAMP introduces a designer every month who we consider unique or outstanding at the design fair. The aim is also to introduce the person behind the design objects. Sándor Lakatos showed up for the first time at the WAMP last October, after that, he left the country for a longer period. Now he’s back and as the designer of the month in August’s designer fair he is giving us some insight into his newest collection. About which he only mentioned the following: it’s going to be incredible! Note, the collection is only for men!

We turned 4 years old!!!! In the previous football world championship’s year, on a hot summer day in July, WAMP began its design-conqueror way. In the time that passed between the two football-events, excellent design veins, musicians, guests and of course the audience ensured the superb mood on more than 50 fairs. Another sleepy Sunday going completely to waste because you’re too much of a sloth to do anything meaningful? Well, rise and shine and bring some color into your weekend by schlepping yourself down to the heart of the city and joining the seekers and creators of colorful Budapest style. In July, PUcc Sweetwear Design’s lovely small figures, all in candy colors will overrun the Erzsébet tér. So don’t expect anything other than koala rabbits, cube-shaped teddy bears, squint-eyed ninjas and a frilly woman collection at the fair.

In July, Pucc Sweetwear Design is being presented with the WAMP designer of the Month Award. This is a brand that produces clothes, accessories and lovely small figures, all in candy colors, made from viscous, cotton, elastic, striped, dotted or checkered materials.
